Most conferences have had a theme related to the organ and its context in the Church and Academy. It also serves as a valuable platform for the department’s current organ students to meet alumni, forging new bridges between generations of organists. These 2-3 day events are both a time of personal refreshment and professional renewal, and each is designed to allow time for alumni to reconnect with one other, faculty, current students, the school and university, as well as favorite Bloomington haunts. IOU has held regularly occurring reunions since 2006. No dues are required to be part of this group, though financial support of IOU’s activities is much appreciated.
